Mourvedre is an ancient variety that dates back to the Phoenicians. Rarely found as a standalone varietal it is notoriously temperamental in both the vineyard and cellar; its finer points make it well worth the effort. With well balanced tannins, dark fruit and soft earthy elements, this is a complex wine that is a stand out.
